Seasons
There are four seasons in a year. They are winter, spring, summer and autumn.
Winter is the coldest season of the year. Winter months are December, January and February. It snows in winter. Children can ski and skate. The happiest holiday of the year is the New Year Day. I like this holiday very much.
When winter is over spring comes. Spring months are March, April, May. We can see the first flowers. The leaves of the trees are small and green. The birds begin singing.
When spring is over summer comes. Summer months are June, July and August. Summer is beautiful. Children do not go to school. They have long summer holidays. They can swim in the sea and play outdoors.
When summer is over autumn comes. Autumn months are September, October, November. Early autumn is beautiful. We can see all colours in the forest. The leaves are green, yellow, red and brown. There are a lot of fruits and vegetables. Late autumn is dull. It often rains. It is cold and windy.
